The Beauvallon, built in 2001, has already acquired an interesting past, one full of water damage from construction defects, a lawsuit against the developer, two years of repairing stucco and gutters, wildly fluctuating condo prices and foreclosures, and finally it’s experiencing a renaissance!
Thanks to an HOA lawsuit that resulted in huge damages being paid by the original builder, water damage was repaired, the stucco was fully removed from the building, new windows and doors were added to every condo unit, and even the water drainage system (gutters and downspouts) was fully corrected to prevent future problems. Bottom line: The Beauvallon got a bad rap in the mid-2000s, with buyers avoiding condos in the building (in large part, because the building was wrapped in plastic as workers replaced the stucco). But today, there’s no particular reason to be afraid of buying a condo in the Beauvallon.
In its favor, the Beauvallon has absolutely spectacular views, a great location close to the heart of downtown Denver, and some spectacular architectural features and amenities – inside the condo units and in the common areas.
Also, if you’re a dog lover, to say the Beauvallon condos are pet-friendly might be an understatement! Each year, at the end of the outdoor pool season, the Beauvallon throws a dog party, and dogs are allowed to swim in the pool on the fifth floor – while their owners can socialize nearby.
From the Beauvallon condos, you can walk to the downtown district, Civic Center, Denver Capitol, Denver Art Museum, and the Cherry Creek path; and you can hop on 6th Avenue or I-25 in just minutes, for easy commutes to almost anywhere in central Denver.
